Our club is dedicated to creating and maintaining gardens that uplift and inspire. From enhancing local schools to partnering with community organizations, we bring the beauty and benefits of gardening to spaces where they can make an impact; and add "flair" to our city.
Civic Projects
COMMUNITY CARE THROUGH GARDENING
Extending our spirit of service beyond the garden bed, we partner with organizations that uplift and strengthen our community. Projects undertaken often support clients of local nonprofits. GOTC brings a special touch - helping bring comfort, celebration, and a sense of being cared for.
Habitat for Humanity Porch Warmings
GOTC is known for its donation and installation of front porch rocking chairs, living container garden and decor for several Habitat for Humanity home builds during the year; providing the "icing on the cake" at home dedication ceremonies. We're very proud to continue to partner with H4H of York County.
Fort Mill Care Center ("FMCC") Entrance Beautification and
One-A-Month Campaign - Food Donations
GOTC has a long history of maintaining the facility's entrance flower beds, adding holiday decor throughout the year. In addition to maintaining the entrance, food and personal items are donated at every monthly GOTC meeting and delivered to the Fort Mill Care Center, supporting local families in need.
FMCC clients are recipients of our fantastic Project JOY events as well. Read all about its fabulous impact for children of families in need, by providing Easter baskets and Christmas stockings filled with ooh's and ahhh's.
