Growing Together:
Gardening on the Cay is Beautifying Tega Cay
In Tega Cay, where community pride runs as deep as our roots, collaboration is blossoming between the City and our garden club. After the resounding success of our joint effort last year to transform a roundabout median by Pitcairn Park into the Gardening on the Cay Memorial Garden, the city has asked us to lend our green thumbs to even more projects—and we couldn’t be more thrilled to dig in!
This holiday season, our partnership has taken on a festive flair. View Gallery below
-
City Hall Cheer: We decked the halls—literally—adding holiday spirit to City Hall, where children can drop off their letters to Santa. Our members enjoyed blending greenery and glitter to make this cherished spot magical for families.
-
Police Station Planters: First impressions matter, even for our heroes in blue! We spruced up the planters at the entrance of the Tega Cay Police Station, showcasing winter-hardy plants and pops of seasonal color.
-
Future Beautification Projects: Beyond the holiday hustle, we’ve been consulting with city officials on ideas to enhance other landscaped areas. From parks to pathways, there’s no shortage of inspiration when it comes to making our city more vibrant and inviting.
What makes this partnership so special is the shared sense of purpose. The City of Tega Cay recognizes the value of our gardening club’s expertise, and we are honored to give back to a community we hold so dear. Together, we’re proving that a little soil, some teamwork, and a shared vision can cultivate not just beauty but a stronger sense of connection.
As we look ahead to new opportunities, we invite everyone to take a stroll and enjoy the fruits of our labor. And if you see a Gardening on the Cay member out and about with a trowel in hand, be sure to wave—just don’t be surprised if they ask you to join the fun!
Here’s to growing together, one garden (and planter) at a time. 🌱
